Joe Cronin

CFP, Dip FP - Proprietor

Joe has worked in the financial services industry as a financial adviser since 1986.

He joined RetireInvest in 1988 and in 1993 commenced the Mt Gravatt business and is a proprietor of the RI South East QLD group.

He holds the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner or CFP qualification from the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA). This qualification requires ongoing educational and professional development to ensure that the practitioner is up to date with the latest industry information and able to service client needs professionally.

Joe is married to Fiona, enjoys keeping fit, skiing and travelling.

Ken Wicks

CFP, B Bus (Acc), CSM, Dip FP, C Dec, CPA - Proprietor

Ken has worked in the Financial Services Industry since 1978.

He joined RI in 2001 becoming a proprietor of the business and provides strategic advice to clients in Brisbane, Bribie Island and the Sunshine Coast. Prior to joining RI he held various senior roles in other organisations in the financial planning, financial services and superannuation industries.

Ken is married to Sandy and has 3 young adult children. He enjoys watching his children play sport, camping, skiing and is an avid rugby supporter.

Michael Iacovella

Adv Dip FS (FP), C Dec, B Bus (Acc), F Fin - Proprietor

Michael has worked in the financial services industry since 1989.

He commenced the Chermside Office of RI South East Qld in July 2007. Prior to joining RI, he was employed with Suncorp for over 7 years and held roles as a financial planning manager and strategy adviser. He has also worked as a financial adviser and investment accountant for various financial services organisations, both in Brisbane and Sydney.

He holds a Bachelor of Business and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and is also a Fellow of Finsia.

Michael loves swimming, practising yoga, cooking, dining out and travelling overseas.

David Peck

CFP, Dip FP, C Dec, B Bus (Mgt)

David has worked in the financial service industry since 1982. Prior to joining RI in 2013, he held various roles in the areas of financial planning, and practice management and development.

He holds the internationally recognised Certified Financial Planner or CFP qualification and is a member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA).

As a financial adviser, David enjoys helping to bring financial security to the lives of individuals, business owners and professionals. He also has a passion to work with boards of not-for-profit organisations to assist them in achieving consistent, sustainable income.

David has been married to Barb for 32 years. He has two sons and a daughter, all married as well as two grandsons. He loves to spend time relaxing with his family and friends, he enjoys movies, reading and loves travelling.

Kerrie Bampton

AFP, ADFS(FP), CDec

Kerrie Bampton has worked in the financial services industry since 2000.

Kerrie started as a paraplanner and moved to an adviser role in 2004 before joining RI in 2007.  Kerrie is based in our Mt Gravatt office and holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, as well as being accredited in Direct Shares and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.

She is a Financial Planner AFP® member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia and also a Commissioner for Declarations.

Kerrie is happily married to Michael and has two adult children, Kiel and Kayla and one grandchild, Leo. Away from the business, she enjoys golfing, camping, overseas travel and spending time with family.

Jenny Zielke

CFP®, DipFP

Jenny joined RetireInvest Caloundra in August 2015, having recently relocated from Brisbane. She brings with her, 20 years’ experience in the financial planning industry, in roles ranging from Client Services to Senior Adviser.

She holds a Diploma of Financial Planning (Deakin University), has completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) education program and has attained CFP professional status. In her role as associate adviser, Jenny is responsible for assisting the advisers with financial strategies, research and producing the advice documents.

Jenny is enjoying the coast lifestyle including spending time at the beach, getting out in the boat for a bit of fishing and being closer to family.

Sharyn Hampson

AFP®, Dip FP

Sharyn has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years and has worked as a Financial Planner since 2002.  She joined RetireInvest Caloundra in July 2017.

She holds a Diploma of Financial Planning (Deakin University) and is an AFP® member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia.  She is also accredited in Self Managed Superannuation Funds and Margin Lending.

Sharyn is married and has two young daughters who keep her busy – whether it be wearing the Dance Mum or the Basketball Mum hat. She enjoys relaxed barbecues with friends and enjoying the coastal life that the Sunshine Coast offers.

Peter Saunders

Business Manager, Proprietor

Peter has had over 30 years in the Financial Services Industry with 23 years with AMP – 15 years in Sales Management positions.

He joined RetireInvest & RI Advice in August 2005 as the Business Manager responsible for the day to day running of the various businesses. He is also a co proprietor of the Caloundra/Morayfield and Chermside businesses. Peter holds a Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Commissioner of Declarations.

Married to Helen with 2 children, outside of work Peter enjoys watching his kids play sport, spending time with family and friends and following most sports as an armchair expert.

Sandy Wicks

Accounts Manager

Sandy joined RI in 2001 and manages the financial accounts for the business. With 3 teenage children most weekends are spent watching them participating in various sports.

Sandy also enjoys going to the gym, camping, skiing and travelling overseas.

Karla Machuca

Paraplanner

Karla migrated to Australia with her husband from Mexico in 2006 and has been working in the financial services industry ever since.

She holds a Diploma in Financial Planning from MLC and a Bachelor degree in Actuary from the National Autonomous University of Mexico and prior to becoming a paraplanner held various actuarial roles in the areas of insurance and superannuation funds.

Karla joined RI in September 2013 and is really looking forward to gaining more experience as part of the RI team.

Karla and her husband Adrian have two boys and love spending quality time with them.

Amy Fisher

Client Service

Amy joined the Mt Gravatt team in December 2013 as Office Administrator before taking on the role of Client Services Officer in 2016.

Prior to joining the team Amy has gained extensive administration experience working in the Aviation Industry as an Administration Coordinator with Qantas. Amy originally comes from South Australia where she worked as a winemakers assistant in the Barossa Valley.

Amy holds a Diploma of Human Resources, a Cert 4 in Mental Health (Non Clinical), Certificate of Fundamentals Corporate Management and a Cert 2 in Wine Industry Operations.

Amy loves to travel abroad and experience different cultures. She has been to over 21 countries. In her free time Amy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

Catherine Del Arco

Client Service

Catt already had a strong connection to RI when she joined our Caloundra Office in September 2010 with her sister Kellie being an adviser in Caloundra.

With a background in Customer Service Catt quickly adapted to the Financial Services Industry and her role provides support to our Sunshine Coast and Bribie Island/Caboolture clients and advisers in all matters of administration including completion of paperwork, liaising with clients and the fund managers.

In her spare time Catt enjoys gardening, baking, reading and bushwalks with her daughter Bella.

Abbi McCallum

Client Service

Abbi joined the Caloundra RI Team in June 2014 as Office Administrator before moving to into a Client Service role in November 2014.

Prior to joining the team, Abbi gained extensive experience in providing administrative support in the Financial Planning sector both in Australia and Ireland.

Abbi holds a BA Honours Degree and has recently completed her Diploma in Financial Planning.

Abbi relocated to Australia in 2014 with her fiance Adam and enjoys spending time with friends, walking her dog Mitch and keeping fit.

Rachael Hanlon

Office Administrator

Rachael joined the RI Caloundra team in January 2017 after relocating to Caloundra from Brisbane with her husband and two children.

Rachael brings administration experience from her previous role as office manager for an accounting firm in Brisbane.

Outside of RI Rachael enjoys spending time with family & friends whatever the occasion may be including the many out of school activities with the kids.  She also enjoys sewing, baking and edible gardens.

 

Chris Postupalski

Client Service

Chris has worked in the finance industry since 2006, joining RI Mt Gravatt in March 2013.

Chris’ role provides support to our clients and advisers in all matters of administration including completion of paperwork, liaising with clients and the fund manager.

He has completed his Diploma in Financial Services (Financial Planning) and a Diploma in Business and will be looking to advance those skills by completing his Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning.

Chris is married with a young daughter. He enjoys travelling and getting out of the house with family & friends, bush walking, trekking up local mountains and when at home relaxes while watching a wide range of sports.

Nicole Court

Client Service

Nicole joined the RI Chermside office in October 2008 after spending the previous 7 years in Event Management.

Nicole is your first point of contact at Chermside and provides support to our clients and advisers in all matters of administration including completion of paperwork, liaising with clients and the fund managers.

Being a Mum to 2 young boys keeps Nicole very busy but she also enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching her children participate in their sporting activities and having the odd hit of tennis.

Tracy Baker

Paraplanner

Tracey has worked in the financial industry since 2005, working in both small and large financial planning practices.

Tracey’s role as paraplanner is to assist the advisers with financial strategies, research and producing the advice documents. Tracey holds a Bachelor of Social Science and has completed four financial planning courses.

With two young boys life is very busy. In her free time Tracey loves read, bake and when possible relax by the pool or beach with her family.

Tara Raupach

Client Service, Dip FP, CDec

Tara joined the Mt Gravatt office in September 2012. Prior to joining RI, Tara spent 3 years working for another local Financial Planning practice where she started at reception and worked her way to a Client Support Role.

Tara now holds a Diploma of Financial Planning and has extensive experience in providing complex, high value customer service coupled with knowledge of the financial services industry. Part of her role at RI is to provide support in all matters of administration including completion of paperwork, liaising with clients and advisers alike, and relevant fund managers. She is also a Commissioner for Declarations.

Tara was announced the RI Support Staff Person of the Year for 2013, and was also nominated as a finalist for this award in 2014. This is a National award given in recognition of excellent in support services.

Tara recently became engaged to her fiance Dean. She enjoys travelling overseas, cooking, regularly going to the gym, camping, boating and spending time with her fiance, family and friends.

Sheralee Stanaway

Office Administrator

Sheralee joined the Mt Gravatt team in June 2016 as Office Administrator. Prior to joining the team
Sheralee gained extensive administration experience working in the Travel and Tourism Industry as an
Administration/Reservations Agent for Discovery Rentals.

Sheralee is originally from New Zealand where she also worked for Hertz & Qantas. She has a Certs 3 & 4
in Travel & Tourism and Cert 3 in Business Admin.

Sheralee loves to travel and experience new things. She has done a bit of travelling and can’t wait to explore more. She also loves spending time with friends and family and loves cars and cats.
